Getting the opportunity to be the head of 'Be The Leader'-An event for Leader's for Tomorrow, was a very enriching experience. Initially I did not know how I'll be managing 21 people and how we'll be able to convince others to join LFT but as the days passed and things had to be finalized, everything became clearer. When the event took off on 14th September there was a lot of pressure to be able to live upto what the co ordinators had entrusted me with but when we got 33 members from just one course, the confidence level shot up instantly. As I covered more and more classes, the conviction with which I told people about LFT kept increasing. It wasn't just conveying the message of LFT, it was a different thing altogether. Doing what you're asked to do and believing it as well are two different aspects. I started with just trying to complete the task I was assigned without concentrating on the message I was delivering to others but with time I started believing that LFT is an organisation which along with material benefits will also develop the personality of those who truly work for it and work with it. In the end when 'Be the Leader' event managed to get over 100 members, I felt overwhelmed not because I had completed the task I was assigned but because we worked as a team and were able to get people to join the organisation which we truly supported. The success of this event goes to all the participants who made it a point to do what they were given with utmost sincerity and dedication. I am sure that with the conclusion of this event, many of us already feel a sense of accomplishment within ourselves. Its true that with responsibility comes a lot of pressure but I am glad that the members who took part in this event realized that for it to be become a success we had to work together.I hope I get another such opportunity soon because more than anything I enjoyed every minute of the time I spent for 'Be the Leader'.
